Terms and Conditions

My Personal Photo Booth – Hire Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions set out an agreement between the Hire Provider (My Personal Photo Booth) and the Hirer (the person, organisation, or company booking the equipment for hire). Upon booking (either verbally, online, or via email), it is deemed that the Hirer has read, fully understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Equipment

1.1 Equipment includes any item for hire, including props. All equipment remains the property of My Personal Photo Booth at all times.
1.2 All equipment is designed for indoor use on a dry, level, hard surface. We can provide a gazebo for outdoor use, but it only fits certain booths, so please confirm before booking.

2. Liability

2.1 In the event My Personal Photo Booth is unable to attend your event due to reasons beyond our control (e.g., adverse weather, road closures, vehicle breakdown, illness, death, or equipment failure), liability is limited to refunding any monies already paid by the Hirer.

3. Photo Booth Hire Delivery & Collection

3.1 Delivery & collection is free within 40 miles of our London base (169 Great Portland St, London W1W 5PF).
3.2 Additional mileage beyond 40 miles will be charged at £0.50 per mile.
3.3 We require 1.5 hours to set up the booth. If access is delayed, the booth may run later than scheduled, and no discount will be applied.
3.4 London events may incur an additional surcharge of up to £20 to cover parking and congestion charges.

4. Payment

4.1 On receipt of a £50 deposit, My Personal Photo Booth will confirm your booking.
4.2 The balance is payable via debit/credit card, PayPal, or BACS at least 1 month before your event.
4.3 The photo booth operator will not operate the booth until full payment has been received.

5. Hire Time & Usage

5.1 Hire time refers to the duration outlined in your chosen package, plus any additional pre-ordered hours.
5.2 Guests can use the booth as many times as they like during the hire period.
5.3 Guests may receive unlimited prints/videos as specified in your package.

6. Social Media & Email Sharing

6.1 Guests can upload images or videos to Facebook, Twitter, or email, subject to Wi-Fi connectivity and platform limitations.
6.2 If social media APIs change and third-party uploads are no longer supported, My Personal Photo Booth is not liable.
6.3 Guests can always share images or videos via email for personal use.

7. Conduct & Restrictions

7.1 Guests must treat the booth and equipment respectfully. Misuse may result in removal from the booth without re-entry.
7.2 Threatening behaviour will not be tolerated; the booth will be stopped and dismantled with no refund.
7.3 Smoking, food, and beverages are strictly prohibited inside the booth.

8. Force Majeure

8.1 Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond their control, including natural disasters, fire, flood, war, or other unforeseen circumstances.
8.2 In such cases, My Personal Photo Booth may retain any deposit or retainer amounts already paid.

9. Damage & Loss

9.1 Any damage or loss caused by misuse, negligence, or theft by the Hirer, guests, or affiliates will be the Hirer’s responsibility.
9.2 Costs for repair or replacement of damaged equipment will be borne by the Hirer.
9.3 Any damage affecting future hires may incur additional costs.

10. Technical Issues

10.1 In the unlikely event of a technical problem rendering the booth unusable, a pro-rata refund will be provided for lost hire time.

11. Copyright & Promotion

11.1 Images and videos created by My Personal Photo Booth may be used for promotional purposes (online or printed).
11.2 All copyright in images or videos remains with My Personal Photo Booth.
11.3 Please notify us in advance if you do not wish images or videos from your event to be used for promotion.

12. Cancellations

12.1 All cancellations must be submitted in writing (email is sufficient).
12.2 The £50 deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Cancellation charges based on notice period:

  • 6+ weeks prior to event: 25% of total hire fee payable

  • 4–6 weeks prior to event: 50% of total hire fee payable

  • 2–4 weeks prior to event: 75% of total hire fee payable

  • Under 2 weeks prior to event: 100% of total hire fee payable
